Been lurking and trying out lots from the page (thanks!).

Things have been going pretty well. I went out a few times this weekend and got 2 #closes on Friday. I hit a few bars on Sat as well, but failed badly. Hoping to get some pointers.

  1. 3 Set 2 cougs (7 and 4) and a 30-40 yr old guy trying to pick up the 7. I join the group and start talking to the dude. He's got a hat on from a local team so I ask him if he watched the game and just nod at the women. He gets engaged in the conversation and I transition the conversation and shift my body position so he's outside the circle. I talk to the women and tease the 7 about the fact that she's peeled the label off her beer bottle and tell her I can tell that she's had to many. It's loud so I repeat the story for the 4 and then joke about the 7 with her.
    The dude takes off and I fluff for 5-10 mins. The guy returns and has bought more beers for the ladies. I thank him and consider tipping him, but don't have the balls and don't want to be too much of a dick. We all talk for a few more minutes and I tell them I need to find my friends. I circulate a bit and come back to the group after 20-40 mins. I tell the 7 I'm impressed that she hasn't torn off her label yet and say I need to leave and meet friends at another place but I want to hear if she's able to resist for the rest of the night. I ask for her number and she declines but asks for mine. I tell her I know she won't call, but give it to her anyway (probably poorly handled) and take off. Any ideas?

  2. 3 Set (8, 6, 6) They've just had a photo taken by a guy at the bar and are looking at their camera. I approach from behind (no good, I know) and comment that I could have done a better job. The 8 gives me a few word answer and turns away. I say something else about the photo but am being ignored, so I bail. Thinking back, I might have tried talking to the friends and saying something like "Wow, is she always like this?" Thoughts?
