Okay, so here's the deal.

I hooked up with a girl during a party of mine a month and a half back and didn't talk much for a week. After, about a week, I messaged her on FB inviting her to a party I was going to and she asked me for my number, came over with some friends, got drunk with me and my buddies, and walked over there. Throughout the night, we were really flirty and talked quite a bit. At the end of the night, we hugged and she left.

This is where I fucked up.

From that day for about a week or two, she would text me nonstop! I was getting good morning texts from her and have conversations with her via text until I'd go to bed. When I wouldn't respond, she'd keep texting me until I told her I was busy or continued talking to her. I got it in my head that she was into me so I told me roommate that I was gonna ask her out.

Now, my roommate is dating her best friend and he straight up told me then and there (based on what his gf told him) that she wasn't interested at all. So, I decided against it, but continued talking to her. As I've gotten to know her, I've found out that she was stuck on a guy back home (we're in college and she's from 1000+ miles away).

Anyway, here is the present state: I am really attracted to her and am crushing on her, she just wants to be friends, but she comes over a lot to hang because she tags along with my roommates girlfriend.

I've never had this issue, especially since I've gotten (mostly) out of my old AFC ways. I feel like I'm going backwards in my progress liking this girl, but I don't see an end in sight.

tl;dr - I'm stuck on a girl who is crushing on a guy back in her home town, but I can't get over her because she is at my place a lot since her best friend is dating my roommate.
