I see shyness as an IOI (indicator of interest). Seems to be right most times so I'm keeping this assumption. It has served me well.

'Reactivity' is interest.

People react in different ways to someone they're attracted to - that's to say becoming flustered and overwhelmed or becoming proactively validation seeking, 'people pleasing' - all ways of coping with the tension of your presence. Generally speaking, hypervigilance.

It's not so important 'what' reaction, it's important that there be a reaction and shyness is a reaction. It's more damning if she's not shy - in that your presence doesn't create any tension or excitement, she feels completely free and liberated to speak her mind because she doesn't care what you think. It's ultimately what you should be doing to come across as 'high status', inspire reactivity and attraction.

'Unreactivity' is disinterest.

Being outgoing, confident, expressive, nonchalant, relaxed, unreactive towards an attractive woman will make her head spin because you're conveying you're unphased to the impression she's giving off - especially in comparison to all of the other guys who tense up, get shy and flustered. Not 'reacting' builds intrigue, shows status, creates attraction. "Why is this guy not showing he's interested?!"

This is the social dynamics behind 'game', which is something women understand intuitively and guys don't for whatever reason. That you can instigate, approach, create conversation, lead, even superficially convey interest and still hold the frame that she's chasing you at the same time - because behaviourally, viscerally, you're not yielding and becoming submissive, reactive, you're not hypervigilant to her presence,

If you get shy towards her, you're in the palm of her hand. If you act completely neutral like you're looking right through her, she doesn't know where you stand and becomes very intrigued. All that to say, shyness is demonstratably interest.

The worst thing you can do with shy girls is to stop escalating. It's very often that when she stops you all you need to do is to take two steps back in escalation and try the same thing again either a few minutes later or immediately. Token resistance is the norm for shy girls. They always shift responsibility for escalation on you because that's what makes it comfortable for them.

I also doubt you should be respecting boundaries when escalating, you have to actually break boundaries slowly and in a calibrated way and touch her more and more intimately each time. Be creative. Think about what you want to do to her and escalate to those points slowly.
