Hey seddit, just figured I'd share this little ice breaker that's been working out for me. Kinda thought it up initially while I was trying to work out making logistics an organic part of the conversation.

Essentially, if I'm in a social atmosphere and see a girl I'm interested in talking to, one of my personal favorite lines to open is: "Hey, I like your XX, it looks great on you. Just by chance, do you happen to have a big scary boyfriend?"

Usually she'll look at you confused, and the answer doesn't even matter. Either answer will tell you if the conversation is worth engaging, and either answer will also have the same response

"Yes", "Awesome, I'm getting some new furniture for my place and I'm trying to find someone to help me move it in"

Or "No", "Shame, I'm getting some new furniture for my place and I'm trying to find someone to help me move it in, it's all good though. So do you stand here in this spot often?"

I usually improvise that last line for funsies, but so far I've gotten only positive reactions with this.

Anybody else have some fun-but-useful openers that they keep in their back pocket?
