I want to share something that I have found useful for practicing conversation skill, or just getting in the zone before going out.

Since I normally go out by myself to a small bar/club a quick walk off campus, I needed to find a way to relax my nerves before I do so.

The simple answer- Chatroulette, or Omegle.

Although you may see the occasional penis, there is a lot that you can take from interacting with people all over the world.

  • Trains your brain to quickly come up with something to say. I end up often opening with something i notice about them or surroundings. In a sense, this goes hand in hand with the 3 second rule.

  • Get comfortable with the anxiety experienced talking to a random stranger. You learn it is quite fun to learn about people that are so different and this can help with your anxiety.

  • You can say what ever the fuck you want, and often times it makes you realize that something you think should be withheld actually should be said. Also from that, it teaches you to hold your frame, and not adjust because there is a pretty girl, or some douche bag you don't necessary like.

  • Variety of strangers from different backgrounds teaches you how to talk to a wide variety of people. For the people wondering about conversation threading, you will quickly learn it's not something you have to think about.

Let me know what you think guys!
