Women often give a guy number - maybe not even their number - just to avoid the possibility of him freaking out if rejected. Which you can’t take personally, because there is an insane amount of guys who do freak out, so it’s just precaution.

Women give numbers to get rid of guys all the time. Most of the time, they are fake or don't reply. This is one of the inefficiencies of the cold approach method, particularly in day game.
