I met my ex through a cold approach at Target, and after our recent breakup, I decided to get back out there instead of dwelling on it. In the past three days, I’ve approached ten women—no numbers yet. Most had boyfriends or weren’t interested, but I don’t really mind rejection. Just making the approach feels like a win since I’ve always been a quiet person, and I’m working on changing that.

My biggest struggle is getting started. Today, I wasted two hours trying to find the “right” moment, but once I made my first approach, I knocked out three in 15 minutes. I tried warming up with the gym, a cold shower, and even talking to a female friend, but I still hesitated.

Also, I see a lot of women out with their friends, and I want to take that next step of approaching a group. I know it’s a different dynamic, and I’m not the best at conversation yet, but I want to improve.

For those who cold approach, how do you get into the groove faster instead of overthinking? And any tips for approaching groups?
