Hey guys, so I was a mountain biker years ago and I recently picked it up again, I struggled a lot the first times with big drops and jumps when I first got back into it and I wasn’t confident with myself and I always feared that I would fall and hurt myself. I eventually used a technique where I just count to 3 and fully commit to the jump or to the big drop Infront of me and it worked so well as I’m now able to clear those jumps and drops I see with ease. Now I had a college party a couple of days ago, and when I saw hot girls dancing and hanging out Infront of bar, I use to get scared as I was scared I will come across as weird or get rejected but my mind automatically related the emotions I was feeling to the emotion I was feeling when I was standing in front of the jumps and drops I use to be scared off, so I just count to 3 and when up to them and introduced myself and bam conversation started, at the end of the night I manage to get a lot of girls numbers and Snapchats as well! I think a very good way of dealing with approach anxiety is to in your free time, learn to push yourself and face your fear in other aspects of your life. Looking back now, going up to a hot girl and striking a nice conversation with them is piss easy compared to clearing a big jump or drop at the park 👌👌
