Why did you feel this way? If you believe both of you seem happy and have fun, why do you think she needs to put much effort? Don’t you think if she had fun, she would love to repeat that moment again?

Very simple explanation: your look is attractive enough to get dates BUT you then show something of your personality/actions that puts them off.

That’s, again, the practical demonstration that look matters only to a certain degree (and if you’re their type in terms of aesthetics)

I have a very fresh anecdote: my best friend (the one I jokingly call MrThousands, because of his four digits body count) matched with girl on a dating app. They went to the date, then I joined them, alone. We spent the night at my friend’s place, playing games and joking. I know my friend, he tried to physically escalate as usual, but I also noted she wasn’t comfortable (for some reason, but that was it), I tried to gave space and assist him to relax the mood. Truth is, she was very comfortable in general, BUT it wasn’t at the idea of him escalating, fair enough. Instead, she was very open and touchy to me, but I ignored the thing (bro code comes first). Some day later, she admitted she had wonderful time in that setting, but she explicitly rejected him. Tonight we’ll have a dinner anyway at my friend’s place with her and another girl friend of mine.

See? Things aren’t static. Even initial attraction interest might fade or shift elsewhere. The vast majority of dates will be one offs. It's a quick trial run and most women get enough interest from guys to tell pretty quickly if they want to continue onward. You should be using the same level of scrutiny. Just because a woman is attractive doesn't mean you will be compatible for more than sex. I've ended dates with really attractive girls because their personality struck a wrong chord with me or I just wasn't really sensing any chemistry.
