Here are my tips for someone who has never failed a first date: just ask them questions about themselves, listen, and ask follow-up questions

A sign it's going well is when she says, "I feel like I've been talking the whole time" and then asks you a question

At this point, respond back "You're good, haha I like hearing about your interests" and then give a short response back to her questions and pivot back to her

The biggest issue with guys on dates is they don't ask follow-up questions, nor tell girls what they are interested in. When she's talking about things she likes, either speak up briefly about ones you also have interest in, or a brief side tangent about a similar interest you have. You have to at one point share something you nerd at over. Could be basketball box scores or Pokemon, but have confidence when you share this.

Also, try and break the touch barrier at some point. When you're laughing or in agreement on something, maybe tap her arm and she how she reacts. If she does the same back to you, you're in king

Stop trying to get a FWB relationship. In fact, stop trying to get a "result" with a girl in general. ESPECIALLY stop trying to get her to like you. That will make you needy and she'll smell that shit from a mile away.
Learn humor and playful disagreeableness, teasing, and flirting, usually in that order. That will give you that "spark" feeling where its not just a platonic conversation.
Learn to touch more, especially playfully in early-stage interactions. Most guys dont touch at ALL and then suddenly try to kiss her. That's awkward. Before I kiss a girl I've probably made physical contact 2-3 DOZEN times throughout the night.

Watch any episode of Joe Rogan where he's talking to someone about a subject he's unfamiliar with and do what he does. Ask questions, be genuinely curious, ask for clarity in things you don't understand.
