Got a second date over text - Time for text-game/small talk?

I've been refraining from doing my usual long winded text game at the nagging of a good friend who's getting me to tone it down. Now that I have a second date, I don't want this girl thinking I'm not interested in talking to her - is there any time for text-game or just small talk leading up til Wednesday or should I maintain minimal conversation until then?

You have a good friend. Every girl and situation is different, but personally I do not text unless it is directly to meet up. She kissed you and agreed to a 2nd date.. it seems like she has some interest, so why not let her wonder about you instead of showing her that you are head over heels for her? You can say and do everything you need to do when you see her on the date... don't ruin the chemistry with small talk

You posted this today and tomorrow is wednesday. When is the last time you've had any kind of contact with her?

Here is the dictionary definition of "small talk": "polite conversation about unimportant or uncontroversial matters, especially as engaged in on social occasions." Why would you engage in it?
