Just for some context: 24 year old male finishing up college. Longterm GF (since HS) just dumped me and started fucking a friend, serious family issues at the moment, death of a friend, and dealing with the stresses of job searching and whatnot. In other words, life has been hard lately. I've been grinding through it though...Working, going to gym, school, and opening up to friends and getting the support I need.

Today at the gym there was a cute chick working at the desk so I went up to her and made a couple mins of small talk and asked her if I could take down her number. Conversation went really well, but she seemed a little awkward about giving me her number (perhaps because she was working) but regardless I got the digits and her name. Definitely a bold move on my part.

I'm here to ask the community what to do next. I want to take this girl out for a date...drinks, or something like that. How should I approach this? (When should I text her / what should I say)

I've never approached a girl I didn't know and asked for her number, so I'm stumped as to what I should do next.

I dont need too much advice in terms of seducing this girl as I'm already confident in my ability to show her a good time if I can get her to come on a date with me. Just looking for some advice to help me with texting her and getting the date.
