The one thing that stops me in my tracks is approaching girls in a group, especially if there are already a bunch of guys in the group present - I always assume the guys are boyfriends. Last night this situation presented itself, but one girl from the group was giving me heavy IOI, so I said f*ck it and approached. I just introduced myself to the group and started speaking with the ugliest girl first, a la “The Game”, then turned my attention to the girl who was giving me IOI, who was hot and who I was interested in. It worked out well and I wound up bar hopping with them all night. I found the courage to approach the group by thinking of the phrase ‘memento mori’, which made me realize how silly my fears were, in the grand scheme of things - rather I have a story to tell and perhaps have some unexpected fun than think of what could’ve been. How have y’all summoned the courage to approach? I’m sure by incorporating it into the usual routine such fears go away, but aside from that, what else?
