I'm in my early 30's and my desire to be more successful with women has made me really sit down and look at myself objectively. How I'm carrying myself, how I present myself to women, etc. It's really opened my eyes and shed some light on why I've been not having any luck.
The biggest thing is I realized I had absolutely no style up to this point in life. As of this time last year, I was still wearing baggy jeans, gross sneakers, t-shirts that were too big, not styling my hair very well. The fact that I was overweight and had bad posture didn't help either. Even though I bought expensive clothes, it was still all too big and didn't fit me well, which made me look and feel like shit.
I spent a lot of time researching clothes and style. Most importantly, I learned how clothes are supposed to fit, not my dated notion of how clothes should fit on me. I also realized that I needed to lose weight in order to really improve how I look and to wear the clothes that I needed to be wearing.
It took 8 months of working out and a thousand dollars in new clothing (some trial and error there, could have done it way cheaper), but I now have a solid wardrobe that looks fantastic on me, and it's made a world of difference. I also went to a professional hair stylist and got a hair style that works great for me.
I find I automatically walk tall and confidently, I look people in the eyes, I catch women glancing at me repeatedly and I smile at them. I'm so much more confident on dates with women, love people taking pictures of me, etc.
If you're having confidence problems, I strongly suggest you take a good hard look at how you're presenting yourself, the clothing you wear, and what type of message you're conveying by your current wardrobe. If you have the money, hire a professional to give you a make-over and to help you find something that works for you. If you're overweight, there's no excuse not to lose it.
Don't make excuses for this shit, guys. Unless you're going after grubby grunge / hippy women, style fucking matters. Your clothing can go a long way for conveying confidence, even if you don't feel confident yourself.
