I'm trying to analyse my more successful conversations with girls and see if I can find patterns.

I only have a small sample to look work with at the moment as i've only recently started 'approaching' girls. Maybe 25 approaches so far?

My more successful conversations seem to always be when using canned openers, as I find this way, I can take the conversation into a more jokey/teasing type chat which gives me a chance to show personality, and I guess if you can get a girl laughing, you increase your chances of building attraction. One of these interaction has lead to sex with a fairly decent looking 21 yo girl. (i'm old! 33)

When I try to be more 'natural' and just approach a girl and say 'hi', or saying something like ''I noticed you, thought you were cute, wanted to say 'hey''', I find that we soon fall into the 'job interview' style of talking, and it always gets awkward. (So, what are you up too?, what do you do? what are your hobbies? etc) Even if I try to take her answer and build upon it (as opposed to just firing off questions like a robot) I still feel that it's too 'serious'. It's not fun. It just feels a bit boring?

I feel as though i'm 'missing' something.

One thought is that I need to be making more statements as opposed to asking questions, but i still think there's other things i'm missing.

With Some of the canned openers and stuff, I feel I can sometimes build very quick raport and comfort with people.

But like i say, my sample is still small. Part of me thinks that it could be that, with the people with whom it felt more like a job interview or something, them girls were simply not attracted to me.

I kind of think that 'game' can help you get laid with a girl who is attracted to you, but it CAN'T help you get laid with a girl who doesn't think you're hot.
