So, I recently got out of an LTR (year and a half) with my first girlfriend. There was no game, nothing whatsoever in finding her in the first place; we happened to both be at an amusement park/carnival type place and we just "clicked".

Literally one moment we were head to head on the bumper cars, next we were holding hands, and then before I knew it we were making out and spending every waking moment together possible. Now, she's gone, and I'm giving it one grand last shot to win her back.

In case that doesn't work (probable...would be a downright miracle if it did), I've decided I'm going to try and meet new people. I'm a 19 year old male in college, so finding places to hang out and meet people on weekends is not too difficult. However, when I get to those places, I freeze.

I've been lurking on this subreddit for a while, so I know what to do in theory, but in practice I just freeze. Take last weekend, for instance, huge party (1500+ attending according to FB), I just went out and danced like I didn't care what anyone thought, even grinded what I'd say was an HB9 at least, but I couldn't do anything: engage in conversation with anyone, couldn't even get the name/number of the lady that decided to dance with me.

I'm going to a much smaller party this weekend, followed by the largest concert of the year the next evening. Do you guys have any tips a newbie like me could use?
