I've been single for a year and a bit now. I've gone on a fair share of first dates since then and NEVER have gotten a second. There are two main issues:

1) Me and the date never really click. The date always feels forced no matter what activity we do.

2) I feel I am a boring person with nothing interesting to say.

Mainly the second one. The last date I went on made me realise that on all previous dates, I'm just extremely dull. I get bored listening to myself. I don't add anything of value to the conversation (note my date didn't either but that is besides the point). This isn't me trying to bitch and complain, I know it's somewhat true. I want to better myself.

I am trying to do something about it, but it's a bit difficult right now. I just moved half way across the world so everything is new for me and I have no friends or other support here. I moved for a teaching job, which has me waking up at 5:30 and not getting home till 7 that evening. I barley have any time for myself. I want to improve myself as a person by getting a gym membership, taking fun classes, joining a sports team, going on nee adventures, but:

1) I don't have the time or energy when I get home. 2) I still don't have a place to live yet so it's a bit difficult.

I am so exhausted by the time I get back to my airBnB, I just watch a few episodes of something on Netflix and go back to bed and repeat.

To be fair though, the weekends have me acting pretty lazy as well, just lounging around the house. However my excuse for this is because I am doing something to help me find a place to live.

Also worth noting I moved half way across the world to help me forget about my ex, and now I've been having dreams about her every second night.

I really need help. Is this the correct subreddit or should I go somewhere else? How do I make myself more interesting of a person with a limited timeline.
