Hi. I'm 17, a senior in highschool. I didn't want to post in highseddit, I was hoping to benefit from some of your guys' more extensive experience.

For a while I've been aware of the importance of touching. When a girl lightly touches my arm or shoulder in a conversation, I notice it has an affect and does build attraction.
Problem is I cannot do it myself. I mean I could, but I'm so uncomfortable with the idea. I definitely don't want to be that guy that's known for creepily touching girls, and at times I feel if I can't do it confidently it will come off creepy. Part of it is a mindset I need to fix, but another part is the actual logistics.
When in a conversation am I supposed to reach out and lightly touch her? In practice I find it very hard to do so naturally. Every attempt I would imagine trying comes off as awkward. I would absolutely appreciate a few pointers on the matter, as a newbie I hope I can learn from the slightly more experienced here.
