Congrats! To what do you attribute your win, though? What advice do you have; what have you learned?

Great work! Seems like you put in good effort towards a light-hearted/banter conversation. Careful about turning into a girl's bitch. Don't do all of their work for them, don't always do their favors if it's an inconvenience to you. But good work promoting the gentleman mindset.

I read "The Game" and it got me into this community. Some parts are applicable and relevant, others are not. I found it an awesome, intriguing story that got me interested by showing me potential. I did not read it hoping that it would contain the secrets.

While your comment is right in the broad strokes, it misses the details. What does "be attractive" mean? The whole reason why guys are coming here is to become "attractive." You're right about being interesting and doing things for yourself. By improving yourself, girls will be drawn to you. "an ugly guy is not going to attract a hot model" — wrong. Looks are absolutely not a determining factor in seduction; that's why guys come here.

I love the points he makes about getting at a more personal and connected conversation: Topics he suggests include when they were afraid, let down, sad. I'd add times you were embarrassed, too. Really any time you/they were vulnerable. Also, talking about they're relationships with their family or really close friends can also be great for establishing comfort and deeper relevance/meaning. I usually hear stories that contain a self-analysis that they don't really otherwise get a chance to share.

Speech breakdown by timestamp and points he makes. 2:25 — It’s not the words, it’s the energy 3:27 — Eliminate nerves by approaching everyone; boost confident energy 4:30 — APPROACHING 4:42 — never approach from behind 6:10 — feeling the “no” coming/anticipating rejection 6:38 — “never tell them about the interview” You should set time constraints ("I have to go back to my friends in a minute"); don’t make them uncomfortable by hanging around. 7:22 — laying down, becoming non-threatening (less i…

Hey man you're completely right and it's always preferable to have correct grammar, but the correction doesn't add directly to the conversation about mindset improvement. Maybe send a message next time.

Take one of the icons of seduction, Neil Strauss. He's 5'6". Mystery is 6'5" and wears tall hats and platform shoes to make himself taller. Height is not a limiting factor.

Try standup. It sounds crazy, but even it's at the most amateur level, it helps with insecurity because you can joke about it! You're by no means cripplingly short, but you can make all sorts of jokes out of it. That way, they're aware you're aware, and they're aware you don't care, or only care some. Soon enough, with everyone around you thinking like that, you may begin to think that too.

Dude you sure you weren't part of one of those sketchy '60s psychological experiments? It's messed up that people might judge you for something you cannot control. Unless you live in Holland, you're comfortably on top of the height bell curve. Height is absolutely not a determining factor for attractiveness. It's 100% your personality and your interaction skills that matter more than your height. Stick with reading and finding advice on interacting, and going out and trying it. Most people don't…

I agree; great work for starting to get your intentions out there. Perhaps leaving just a normal tip with that type of note would be more effective: it says, I'm so good you shouldn't need anything extra to want to call me. Manage expectations, though: Keep in mind that there's relatively little interaction time between servers/patrons. You've probably had very little chance to demonstrate what an awesome guy you are. Numbers probably work best when they have something really exciting and intere…

It sounds like Mr_Zarika is trying to manage expectations and not let the girls get their hopes too far up. The schedule and the idea that you have other friends that are girls are two good ways that wikikhan mentioned.

Nice idea! Keeping it the way it is now is better for both of us — from an emotionally appealing perspective. Logic is great, but emotional appeal will always work better. How has "unless I were to meet a girl that blew my mind and was 'the one'." worked in the past? In text it sounds like it could offend her as she clearly isn't the one you want to settle down with. Can it work in context/in person? Perhaps not "marriage," but you could say, "We're getting to the point where relationships can g…

You're absolutely right about maintaining your position. It sounds like you're happy about where you are with each of these girls; don't sacrifice four of them for one of them unless it's worth it (which it sounds like it isn't worth to you). If one drops, you can afford it. If two of them drop, you have a night or two open to find new girls. Variety is always important. As long as you remain confident in what you want out of the relationship, it should have a decently solid base. Be sure to not…

I'd take her to a nice, quieter place so that you can get to know each other. It sounds like your social value has been established. Show her you're interested in her in particular.

This has been my impression, too. Reason that only 7% of human connection is via content/words. So much more meaning is conveyed through all other factors: tone of voice, facial expressions, body language. FaceTime is best, but can be intimidating in this context. For the purpose of establish rapport before a date, calling is absolutely the best choice.

Sounds like a great idea! I like the idea of things you're doing throughout a conversation — not openers. There are a billion different openers and the chances of useful advice coming out of the use of one opener isn't very high. The chances of examples on how to direct/change conversation or actions would be great. For instance, have a conversation in which you tell girls what kinds of questions to ask. "Can you do me a favor, just one small thing?" (Ben Franklin effect) "Ask me about something…

Two different girls saw "The Sex God Method" open on my e-reader (should be more careful... whoops) over this last weekend. One, who I've artificially placed in the friend zone to get closer with in a sexually flirtatious way, found it quite scandalously intriguing. She begged to let her read or tell her what it was about, but I only gave her the above pitch. I retain an air of mystery about me, and she admires me even more for my morals, beliefs, and aspirations. The other one is yet pretty ine…

I never leave my computer open to begin with, nor do I let girls patrol my phone. This being said, I've had girls see books like the cover of "The Game" with all the tied up, embossed girls in lingerie, or covers of, say "The Sex God Method" which is pretty self explanatory. It's all in how you pitch it. Before going into it, remember everyone loves a guy with morals, beliefs, and aspirations. Pitch it as this: I believe there are always places for me to improve. I'm never a finished work — I'm …

That's a really short conversation for nine minutes. Try elaborating more! Say more positive things. "I wasn't disappointed" — what does that convey? Anything? "Yea, it was awesome." — I'm confident you could say a few more things about Captain America. Convey things that are important to you; do you respect Captain America? Were you impressed? Ask her about hiking — does she go often? Where does she hike, why does she hike? That would have been pretty subtle if she were inviting you with her. D…

I watched, and was generally unimpressed by the show from a learning perspective. Grimble's air time was insignificant. Maybe we can learn a few things from what the guys did wrong — don't advertise bad features (with such lines as, "I'm a terrible dancer!" or "I sleep in cages with big dogs; I take what I can get!" or "I wear my pants low because I have weird abs."). Essentially, the density of things to learn was very low. Probably not worth your twenty minutes.

In order to kiss her, you have to create environments in which a kiss might happen. You're talking about a relationship, so I'll answer in that context: Pre-reqs: Conversation has flowed, you're decently comfortable together, you're receiving indicators of interest even as simple as "the look". The official relationship is not mandatory before the kiss. Forget all this if you haven't been really good with kino. Touch the elbow, touch the thigh in a seated situation, put your arm around her (even…

Nice work! The laziness in not going to find her the first time could be working for you, in a way, as it makes you come across as not needy. If you don't feel like looking for her — don't. It doesn't look like it really affected your game too much. If you're looking for motivation to continue actively "gaming" when you're feeling a lull, I'm honestly not sure. Don't push yourself to do things you don't want to do — just go to have fun. If that fun includes girls, include them. If, at a given ti…

Haha go ahead and avoid the wedgie-strength pull. But pulling clothes around erogenous areas has certainly been a turn on for the girls I've been with. Grab a bunch of her shirt on the sides at belly button level while making out so it pulls tight (pull right here (semi NSWF)). If you get the side of her panties, give them a little pull, perhaps a little softer than you did. Grab the fabric of her shirt on her back, as if trying to hold on to her. All of these can work.

Great job working the whole social scene, rather than just laser-focusing on the girls like the other guys were doing. Definitely open the guys, even shun the target a little bit at the beginning. Charisma can absolutely be learned. In middle school I was a complete dweeb. Advanced math class and not a single chance with girls (not that the two are mutually exclusive). I had a crush on this one pretty girl; she was "popular" but she was really nice about it and took my phone calls (my parents encouraged me to caller her at home... old fashioned? Certainly a no-go if you haven't built up attraction). Her friends gave me some shit. I'm only finishing up high school now and it's a hundred ti…

After she blew up at you, I think your best option may have been to turn around casually and leave with dignity. Say in a low voice to the people around you, "hey, I'm gonna go for a few — catch you in a bit." and meet some more people. I think if you play it right it could be decent-man enough that you care about not cutting people who've been waiting, yet detached enough that you don't care enough to listen to this woman berate you for no reason. Not sure about this, though; what do you guys t…

This sounds like a great idea! I understand there are no votes in how such a design will come out, but it'd be awesome if we could keep decorations a little smaller than they are on some of the other subs. The simpler and less cluttered the design, the better!

I saw something similar a few days ago, and I just started watching dancing videos on youtube. Just watch for something that looks interesting, and start trying to do that. Do it until you're decently happy, all the while watching for new things. I've been watching this guy for three days now and I've already improved 300% (from hobbyist tap/ballroom dancer). all good advice, but I think there's a bit more complexity to the situation OP presented: he doesn't want to straight-up steal the girl his buddy is going after. Either that or he was coming her subconsciously looking for permission to do that.

I'm confused by all the down votes and nobody explaining why. I think this is sweet, but it may come across as too invested. Of course it depends on the situation, but this would make more sense in an LTR than in the pickup scene.

When you were walking together, you could've gone and held her hand. Then, on the bus, say "Hey, you're interesting. Let's sit together!" Usually there aren't assigned seats on bus tours. Like IntensePancakes said, it just looks like you didn't show quite enough intention with her, and because of the majority of the time spent apart, you guys didn't successfully become an item.

If she insists on text, the best piece of advice I've seen is this: Text is a way you make her laugh. Don't talk about anything mundane, or in a mundane way; make it exaggerated and humorous and light hearted. Feel free to be flirty and get serious, show off your how dynamic you are emotionally in person, just make her laugh over text. But still be concise and don't drag out text conversations. I'm right with you on this one. I really like snapchat for a few reasons: It includes so much more than texting: You get facial expressions, which can be really effective body language, the convenience of on-your-own-time texting Text strips away of the emoting that happens in normal conversation. There was a study that said that, what, only 7% of our interactions revolve around the actual text of what's being said? Speak passionately. People admire people who have ambition and passions, because those people are different and way more exciting than the vapid media-consuming populace. If we're talking about your job, don't come at it like a "I landed this job, aw yeah." Approach it like "I can't believe I got this opportunity! This is how I put in hard work and surmounted obstacles!"

This is what worked for me: get fit. Join a gym and get fit. It's an odd thing, but when you're athletically-built (goes hand-in-hand with good posture!), you get more respect right off the bat. This way, you have a better base when you go in with flirting and intellect.

Your objective is to stand out from the crowd. Don't be the same as the other fifteen guys looking to get laid, because with them, looks will be the champion and statistically, you'll fail. Stand out by treating her differently. Approach it as you don't need anything from her. You don't want anything from her. But go in hard and heavy with the flirting. Being genuine is not always the right way to go with compliments. Sure, oftentimes it's the best, but I enjoy using [compliment] (teasing, with kino) "Oh, stop it you!" It keeps the conversation light. Of course, only say it when you want to continue bantering and keep it light. Usually a genuine reaction will do the trick.
/r/seduction08/11/13 07:48 AM
1

why is this good? What do you get with reactions?
/r/seduction08/11/13 07:46 AM

Be really careful about anything that starts off negative. This stuff is dangerous, because sometimes conversation won't allow you to get the whole thing out. Don't ever go in with a mentality of "I'm no better than everyone else." Go with the "I am better than everyone else; make me want to stay here or I'm leaving to go have real fun." Of course you don't say it to her, but imply it through your frame.

Chuckle. "Hey, buddy." Make it demeaning. Speak down to them. "Don't try to make yourself taller by putting others down." Something to that effect. Speak as a reprimanding, disappointed father would to a child that doesn't know better. The laugh will put them off from the start.

Other guys have offered solutions on paying. I'd like to present an alternative. One thing that'll rack up the cost of dating is solely or primarily doing dinner dates. One thing that'll cost very little is some sort of day date. Although it has different connotations than a 1-off nighttime date, it can be great in getting to know someone. Beyond kino... I know this is a little unpopular here on seddit, but if you have abs, talk about them (and show them, if you can). Tell them you learned that the reason why women like abs so much is because they're the primary thrusting muscles in sex. This accomplishes two things: turns the conversation immediately sexual, and gets them thinking about your body. edit: Because people don't like it again, I think it's necessary to clarify that you only do this if it fits with the conversation. I feel like the easiest way to create sexual tension is to talk about (at least vaguely) sexual topics. I've used this one before and it certainly adjusts the frame each time: Do you know why girls like abs so much? Turns out they're the key muscles in thrusting during sex. Prereq: have some semblance of abs to show them or subtly suggest at. This'll get them thinking about abs, then your abs, then what your abs are good for. e: why does this have so many down votes? This is what I would expect, as well. As an alpha male, you fill the space in every way possible, and a loud voice would be one of them. The best way to do it is to get used to it, to make it habit, to make it part of you. Touch them lightly on the shoulder at the end of a conversation. If you're next to each other standing, press your forearm against hers. Only make these last a second – longer, or too overt, and she'll ask why you're touching her so much. Here we go— I've been in a similar situation. It'll take a lot of trial and error to fine-tune exactly where the sweet spot is (I got a light hearted "stop touching me" during the process), but it's well worth it, because kino is, in my opinion, even more important than the substance of your conversation. Honestly, though, the general idea isn't hard at all. The best piece of advice I can give you is that you get away with more when you aren't looking. In a seated situation, laugh and touch just…

Honestly I've never really considered how I evaluate girls. As I do think about it, though, I might even say I think about a girl as an art connoisseur might regard art idealistically. I look for what they have and what they could be. Generally I take ones that have high potential and little distance to go. Although, perhaps it really has more to do with the setting: Are pretty, hot girls in supply? Are they in high demand? I'll adjust depending on that answer. To more aptly answer your question…

It was these exact mistakes that screwed me over in high school. When in a group of friends, I found you have to be clear which one you're flirting with. Flirt lightly with others, but choose one. If you don't, there's a high chance they'll all erect a huge, iron, insurmountable wall in front of you. Be careful! e: Although I, too, am curious as to whether it's possible. Any other opinions are thoroughly welcome!

You're absolutely right. Even at the beginning of high school, I began going to the school gym and lifting, receiving advice from the school trainer. Not even my sophomore year, I began receiving a lot more respect right off the bat. While you might have to fight to earn respect when you're short and intelligent, when you're tall and fit you get it right away. Now, I over-adjusted towards the wrong end of the spectrum and didn't fight enough to prove myself with my intellect, making me come acro…

Great job with the escalation throughout! Seems like you really know what you're doing- just get that mileage in there and you'll be golden. Great FR, by the way. A question on the "number": is it better to tell her honestly, to make a joke out of it ("oh yeah, a perfect zero"), or to say you don't keep track? I think saying you don't keep track, and using that to promote values of in-the-moment and relationships, rather than numbers, could be a good approach.

I, too, have been thinking about these things recently. It occurred to me that the AMOG-handling tactics could work even in situations where they aren't necessarily AMOG to start. The problem is, though, I honestly don't know any good ways to deal with these guys.

A very impressive argument. I hadn't particularly given this much thought, but I'll be sure to take this into consideration from now on; you're absolutely right about the girls' ranges of confidence.

Nice post, with an interesting stance. I particularly like the fifth one; it sounds arrogant, but thoroughly spontaneous. I also like the third one, for similar reasons.

Like what Gaius said in his post, it really doesn't matter a whole lot what you do to make yourself interesting. The importance is all on how you present what is interesting. Practice describing things passionately! Hell, you could talk about how you love youtube, and as long as you're overwhelmingly positive and talk about it passionately, it can come across as really interesting. I've found it helps to talk subtly about how you value person-person interactions. For instance, I described reddit…

Frankly, I just don't text much. Make it clear you have other things to do, and if she doesn't want to/can't hang out, then you don't give a shit.

I've found it's honestly fine, given a good approach to it. If you describe it passionately and make it seem mysterious ("There is a fine... art to women.") I've found it actually makes for a quite viable topic conversation and makes you seem really cool. Contrarily, if you blather vapidly without making eye contact about something on reddit, it will be an awkward point of conversation.

Great job! Sounds like you went out with solid goals in mind and made it happen. Best part of your FR, though, is your edit on what you can improve on. That is what's going to get you better each and every time. Keep it up!

The easiest way to apply kino, I've found, is when both of you are laughing. First, establish eye contact while talking, do the "sex" eyes — don't look at her with the same vapid expression with which you would regard your bros. Then, when you laugh, touch her shoulder. Touch her just above the knee when seated. Touch the elbow (only if it feels natural). Be careful not to overdo it. Girls love it to an extent ("You're really physical — I like that."), but if you do it too much, or too quickly, …

Yes, it sounds like you did miss a number of chances, but it sounds like you certainly know what you did and what you should have done. This being said, you certainly didn't miss your "chance". Don't worry- it sounds like you have excellent positive attraction built and, even though you're taking your time with it, it doesn't sound like she's placed you quite into the friends category yet.

First off, respect for not wanting to dumb yourself down. I've had girls within my larger social circle tell me I'm intimidating, assumedly because of my academic prowess. Honestly, it used to disappoint me, but really just flaunt it in a non-asshole way. As you go about the talk/touch escalation, let your personality shine through. I had a girl who was genuinely interested in business strategies that related to the topic at hand. Sometimes it's difficult, as it can break the mood if you dwell t…

Same situation. Honestly, it isn't hard at all. The best piece of advice I can give you is that you get away with more when you aren't looking. In a seated situation, laugh and touch just above the knee. In a standing situation, playfully push the shoulder. Eye contact is paramount in my experience, as the girls aren't terribly used to it. Use her name. Seriously important in establishing connections Also, be completely outcome independent. This is really magical. If they don't laugh, you don't …

prerequisite: have some semblance of abs I've found this to work every time I've used it so far. You do have to wait for an appropriate cue in the conversation, but it's a decently broad topic: Tell her matter-of-factly that the reasons why girls and all culture loves guys with abs is because of their role in making sex amazing. This is true on both accounts, and generally leads to wondering about, if not outright feeling, your abs. She's close, and this gives you a great chance to rapidly climb…

Honestly, I'm not sure. Perhaps strive to turn down/off the sexual/big flirtatious things for a while, and be a really good friend to a number of the "nicer" girls in your social circle for a few weeks. I've found this sometimes helps as a sort of reset button on the group dynamic. It might take a good deal more, but this could secure it in the longer run.

If you aren't too good at taking cues from her and the environment, don't use them all up right away! Early on, create a focus of conversation on crazy activities you/she totally haven't done, and tease her/make a joke on yourself about it! For instance, ask if she's been whale watching. Or ask if she's ever tamed a lion. Or ask if she's flown a jet. Or ask if she's a salsa dancer. When she replies she hasn't/doesn't/isn't, say, "Hm, I didn't think so," and move on to the next subject. This will…

There's quite a bit of discussion about whether or not asking what her major is is a good opener. Honestly, I believe the opener can be complete shit as long as you have a good follow-up, and the nice thing about this question is that it implies that she should return the question. For instance: Hi, my name's Psilocybin. What's yours? [name] oh, like my dog — And then, lightning fast before she realizes what you said: — so what's your major? She'll be a little flustered, but will answer the ques…

I'm late to the party, but there was a post here recently that talked about an easy way to quickly introduce a feeling of familiarity: Talk about a time you were embarrassed Talk about a time you were scared Talk about your relationship with parents Of course, imply that she should give answers as well, to introduce a fun familiarity for both of you. And certainly don't forget kino/romantic conversation/spontaneity/being yourself. Doing only this will plant you firmly in the friend zone.

I saw one recently: The handshake thing. Doesn't really have a name. You ask the girl if she's heard of the San Diego (or other major city) handshake. You do a really simple one. Show her how to do it: You start off strong, then say "no, like this." Do it slowly and let her copy. You ask if she's heard of the LA handshake (or other major city) Do a bit more complicated one; they all have to do with hand slapping and end in a fist bump or something. Really, they don't have to be sexual. Honestly …

Great points! I think this would best be said in an informal context; at least an informal conversational way: You've directed the conversation to a pause. You make it clear through your body language and position that she shouldn't say anything because you are about to do so "Hey - Let's go grab a drink."

Depends on the setting, and depends on your rapport with the girls and their personalities. For dancing solo, to impress others, check out shuffling or free step dancing. For dancing with girls, basically just grinding. If you're from outside the US, you're probably better than the average American at moving your hips. Just practice a bit and keep rotating and keep pressure between the two of you.

It started off rreeaaaally awkward. It was clear for the first four minutes that she wasn't interested in anything that might have followed. The body language seemed really off. Mirroring was good; it just looked wrong from the side. She felt weird while dancing, but I suppose whatever kino works, works. That all being said, it progressed wonderfully and she started to warm up, so I suppose a job well done?

I recall reading a good piece of advice somewhere: At a reasonable and relevant point in the conversation (don't just come out of left field, interrupting her), say something to the effect of: "What was your name again?" She will give you her first name. "Ah, I meant your *last* name." Now, this isn't by any stretch perfect, but neither is the situation. Last names are essential for Facebook and the likes, if that's your thing, but, yes, it could be awkward if you make it that way. Also might be…

ah but you have to be careful about the effects of "sorry", and now you have a slightly miffed target on your hands - despite the words that have been coming out of your mouth, she clearly didn't make the largest impression on you, or you would've remembered. Now, almost everyone immediately forgets each others' names after being introduced, but that's how society has set itself up.

Although my mother isn't quite as dominating as yours, I'd certainly still call her strict. For instance, no television growing up. Also, she kept a strict watch over any girl I brought home in high school. Honestly, I really haven't had it too badly. I might qualify myself as naturally charismatic, but I really feel that just putting myself out there has worked out fantastically thus far.

Basic position: Feet shoulder-distance apart, a little more than a casual bend in the knees (compensates for height, better dance feel), hands on her hips. This will anchor you and her. Basically match their movements. Oftentimes, the girl will have some sort of an idea of what they're doing. Otherwise, you'll have to guide it. Sway, rotate, gyrate – that move that girls do where they move their hips in a wide circle around them? That absolutely works for guys, too. Sometimes go a little lower, …
