I dated a girl I met at a pub, the date went great but there is a huge age difference between us (I'm 20 she's 27) I feel like I fucked up the first date for not kissing her.. and I don't want any relationship

Anyway that night she texted me "We should catch up soon" and then I suggested a day of the next week and she said she'll be busy the whole week (don't know if I should believe this) and I said how about the coming week, she said "not sure but next Friday is high possibility, I'll let you know next week"

Now I feel rejected but why she gives some kind of hope? Like if she is not 100% interested why she would suggest next Friday?
