Hi I'm 23(M). I have been in a relationship with a girl (23F) for 6 months. We both lived in the same city and everything was great there.

The fact is that we will not be living in the same place for the next year or so. Now I have to go to my city of birth for a few months and then I move to another country for other months so it adds up to almost a year in total.

I've never had a LDR and I'm not sure how I'm going to react or how I should behave. I am not afraid of losing her, but since I am in this situation I would like to know how to act and learn how to carry an LDR the right way.

The problems that I see:

  • Texting. How much? What to talk about?
  • Keeping attraction.
  • How often should we see each other in person?

We are in our first week not together now. I hope you can help me, this community has always inspired me and made me a better man.

This is my first post and I'm not an English so there may be writing fails :/

TL;DR: Will be in a long distance relationship for about a year and I'm lost. How should I act?
