I was in a LDR for almost a year, we did break up but we would've in any way cuz we didn't match as well as we thought. If you're both really into staying together, I'd say try it out. Me and my ex used to chat every day, a few times per day, but only things like, how her day is going, how she's feeling, anything interesting around her and so on. Some people prefer having a more personal life while they're in a LDR, we liked being in touch regularly, and tbh a year isn't fatal. It'll be difficult for sure, but if you're both really into each other, try it and see how it goes.

It's also very important that you both understand that - what you'll be going through won't be easy - it will require you both to be 100% honest, both wanting it, and having complete trust in each other.

Break up now under good terms! Keep in touch. When you’re planning to move back, reassess. Don’t try to long distance it. it may work, but it’ll be easier to just both do your own thing like your gonna do anyway but open and honestly about it.
