Consider it practice for the next one. I was asked out by a much younger guy last summer. I was curious, but after some conversation and a date, i realized that the age difference would be a barrier. I didn't think there was any harm in meeting up and talking, getting to know him. But i could see he became attached super easily, after one date. We talked a bit more, but I had to gently let him down. It was hard for him to see why it wouldnt work, but for me it was clear after a few conversations. I guess there is a little part of me that hoped i could help him find the right girl, after all i know what its like to go through an immigrant experience and try to get on in a culutre that's totally foreign. But his attachment style was another story, and the best thing was to not involve myself in his life. He was literally just starting it! I suggest you treat every date as an exploratory mission and don't take it too much to heart until you have actual confirmations; intimacy, reciprocation, etc.
Hopefully when you get older, a first date won't be such a big deal. I don't think it should be. It's a time to set aside to be one on one with new person, if there's more, time will tell if that's a good thing or not, lol. Everyone is different, what can i say? Some of us enjoy talking to new people, it expands awareness and perspective, and knowledge can be very useful if you want it to be.

That’s dope, that you approached and she went out with you. What was you’re goal, dating or smash. Because I can guarantee and I’m about 99% sure she woulda smashed on the first date.

She’s interested in older dudes for dating, but the fact that she went out with you solely because she thought you were brave means that she probably was looking for something else. She’s just backwards rationalizing why she went on a date with you, in the first place without sounding like a sl*t
