Quick background: I moved to the state a few years ago; I'm 26m, pretty busy between work and school, but I've been wanting to put myself out there more and actually meet someone worth my time.

The bar/club scene just doesn't do it for me. Not really my vibe, and honestly Austin's nightlife is kind of overhyped IMO. The women I tend to click with aren't usually there anyway. Nor does the cold approach.

I'm decent with people; socially smart, and I'm presentable. So that's not really the issue. It's more about where to even meet women who have their heads on straight. I'm talking about girls with goals, interests, and a bit of depth.

For the guys who've been in a similar spot. New city, new country, figuring it out. What actually moved the needle for you? Hobbies, classes, volunteer stuff, social groups? I'm genuinely open to picking up something new if it gets me around the right kind of woman.
