I've been lurking Seddit for a couple of months now, and even though ï've improved a lot of things about myself, but i can't say i am exactly happy with the results. So i finally decided to share my story, in the hope that one of you could steer me in the right direction.

I came (back) to Seduction after one of my bandmembers (read: close friend) started dating my ex-girlfriend of 2,5 years. (Sidenote: we had been broken up for over a year, she wanted to stay friends. And, being the nice guy that i was, and probably still am, i kept holding on to her). Because of this i decided i wanted to improve myself from being a nervous, friend-zonable nice guy to something better.

I read "the game", among other books, several years ago. Which gave me the testies to actually kiss a few girls and land my first gf at age 17.

Truth be told, i know i've improved myself by:

  • started running 15 km (9,5mi) on a weekly basis and actually lost some weight in doing so, which wasn't my initial goal.
  • Got help from a therapist to work out some issues, after two sessions he told me i'd be fine if i kept going on this path.
  • Actually talked to people about my problems, instead of hiding them is shame, to eventually vent them in an outburst of rage.
  • Read a few books, (Subtle Art of Not Giving a Fuck, No More Mr. Nice Guy) and indentified a lot of the problems in my life-choices and relationships.
  • Made the decision to quit my job and leave for Australia at the end of this year.
  • Next up is to quit smoking.

But doing all of the above still doesn't make me better with women. i approach rarely, and when i do, ï've either waited to long or strike out because i can't deal with the awkward silence. This actually made me literally run away when i could have had a chance... i don't know how to overcome this, and frankly, it is starting to drag my motivation to keep improving down.
