I’m a 3rd year university student and I’ve been running into the same woman across my uni campus/city for the whole duration of my course. I’ve seen her at bars, nightclubs, parties and just out and about in public. We often hold stares with each other but I can’t say for definite if it’s a continuous stare of interest or not. I’ve also never spoken to her weirdly but that’s probably down to anxiety around approaching. Anyways came across her account on Instagram a few weeks ago and gave her a follow and she followed me back. It also turns out my flatmate’s friend is her flatmate so we’ve got mutuals. My question is how is best to pursue her as I see her at least once every couple of months but I don’t know for certain if I’ll see her again in person.

Do I dm her and try and get to know her by moving off insta (number/snapchat?) Ask my friend to ask his mate for her socials or number so I can message her? Do I try and organise a party and hope she turns up?

Help me out people please :).

Also separate question is it even worth pursuing this girl as in the first 3 weeks of university I was romantically seeing her flatmate (who I later ghosted - bad I know) although I don’t know if they are still close or even friends as she’s not in any of her pictures despite posting A LOT
