How do I tell the difference between rejection and bitch shields?

I guess you cant tell if you dont play their "game". My advice is always thing its bitch shield, try to break it and see how it goes. If it is not then walk away with a see you later and smile :)

Rejection will mean a cessation of interaction/attention, bitch shields will be negative attention.

Just remember, if they are teasing you and still talking to you, then they are bitch shielding. If they are actively trying to ignore you, then they are not interested (check her body language, does she keep turning away? how's her eye contact? etc)

That terminology sucks.

And...if you can't tell I'm not sure what can be done about it. As much as we pretend otherwise, all women are different. But, I imagine each of them will make it pretty clear in their own special way when they legitimately want you to go away.
