It feels like my cynicism towards people is starting to create issues in which I don't approach as much anymore. I've gone out every weekend for the last 3 years, and have always approached and met people while doing so. I must have met hundreds and hundreds of people over the course of these years, yet recently I've experienced a halt in interested while being out, feeling completely disenchanted and/or bored of the people I meet. I'll think "yeah I could approach her, but she'll just start telling me about her uninteresting life, or I'm gonna tell her my life story that I've told over and over again" (not speaking the local language, I always get asked the same questions about why I'm in the country). It led me in a weird situation last night, where I was out, neither wanting to talk to anyone new nor wanting to go home. I just stood there, drinking on my own. It's bringing a color on me that I do not like as I've always seen myself as a philanthropist, usually reveling in people and their stories. Has anyone experienced anything similar ? and what was done to successfully remedy to it ? Thanks in advance.
