It seems like you are too emotionally involved. Otherwise you wouldn't worry about telling her that you are divorced. Every normal woman would understand. So, if she freaks out, you are lucky to get rid of her. The sooner you tell her, the better.

Do you also have kids? And whats the reason you got divorced (don't need details just basic 'growing apart' or 'cheating' or 'marriage was a mistake')? I think the reason you would marry young and get divorced soon is maybe important in this story. If it's just a we were married but grew apart story I guess it's no problem to tell.. It's the same as a relationship that just didn't work out..
