I noticed a girl at my yoga class for a few weeks now and exchanged glances with her (could be all in my head). Then today she set her mat up next to me. We were doing a pose that requires us to lay on our backs and tilt our head to one side. I had my eyes closed (as I normally do), then opened them (to shamelessly check her out) and when I opened my eyes I saw that she was facing me! and she smiled at me.

I always get anxious when women hold a gaze and I didn't want to seem creepy, so I broke it and looked down at the mat. I don't even think I smiled back because I panicked. I'm bad at holding eye contact with attractive women. Should I have held the gaze in this situation? I should have at least smiled..

Damn it. I doesn't show much confidence when the guy breaks the gaze first, huh? I don't want a starring contest, but I probably shouldn't have let my eyes cower away. Sigh. Another chance to show my true interest in a woman I like and I failed.

Simple story. Common situation. What do?
