It's probably not your looks but your messages or profile content. Search this sub for help with messages and profile. There's some threads am subs for this but I don't have then handy.

I'm at a 10% response rate, so far 2 dates, 1 flake.

I heard 10% is normal, but it's somewhat discouraging giving the time investment. 25% or more would make it worthwhile.

If you're chubby chasing, I'm sure it'd be much higher!

I tried OKcupid once, but I'm pretty sure I'm doing something wrong. ~30% reply rate but not a single date... and no, I am not stunningly handsome nor does my profile portray me as a fucking super astronaut-brain surgeon-spy, its pretty average.

The trick is to sort for all the new users. If you get to her first, your reply rate will go up. Otherwise, it just like hitting on a girl at 2AM at a club as opposed to 9PM or the guy that applied for a job but is the 500th applicant. They only take the first 20 or so resumes, and the other people are SOL.

It's not you, it's the 500 other guys flooding every girls inbox. My friend went on okcupid, and told me how she got so overwhelmed by messages she deleted her account.
