Half way through reading the game, which is very dated now I'm told.

From what I've heard the whole canned routine thing is pretty much done now, if only from too many stories of girls saying 'I've heard guys tell me this exact same shit before, are you gonna try and 'neg' me now.'

For me though as a newbie, I'm still struggling with holding a conversavion and getting a decent response from just saying 'hi', my body language and voice aren't there yet I guess. My wing gets a better reaction from opening with 'would you judge me if I said I'm a rapist' and shit like that, it sounds terrible but the girls always laugh because they know he's joking. If I did that I'd probably get thrown out of the club.

  1. Are openers important? I've heard so much conflicting information on this, I know it gets asked a lot so sorry.

  2. Is negging still relevant thing or have people outgrown it now? Stuff like saying "nice dress, those are very popular." Or when you're in a group and say playfully (about the girl you like) "wow you're friend is so rude interupting all the time." Even that doesn't seem exactly natural.

So yes, I know I just need to go out more. But I'm trying to get it right first time in the sense that I don't want to be relying on prepared lines and responses. It'll be a pain but I won't end up having to phase that stuff out.
