So I have generally good skin but the problem is that I'm a picker. I have this urge to pick at shit on my face and because of this every once in a small pimple on my nose will turn in a very large, hideous goober. Like this shit is gross. There is no way that other people don't notice this huge growth on my nose. I know this because whenever I see somebody else who has something like that, I can't help but stare at it when I talk to them. Maybe that's just my own insecurity talking. I don't know.

But anyway whenever I have these things (which is not often, but it will happen once every couple of months) I just feel subhuman. I avoid going out. It's harder for me to maintain eye contact with people. I am noticeably less confident and I have way more trouble speaking with girls. The best way to describe the way I feel is that all of my insecurities physically manifest themselves in that red bump on my nose. I look in the mirror and instead of seeing of seeing the attractive guy I normally see, I see a gross red thing.

Has anybody dealt with this? I want to stress that this is not an often occurrence but it is something I have had to deal with in the past. I have great hygiene and clear skin otherwise, and I am working to cast aside my picker tendencies.
