Cheer each other up, share girls, back up each other, compliment each other, make up for each other’s mistakes, feedback each other. In general both of you should cheer for other’s success.

The person who approaches first is the one that gets to choose which girl is his, the wingman has to respect his choice and distract the others. A wingman who tries to go for the girl you want is a bad wingman. The wingman must not eclipse you, and must keep a low profile, so he must not try to outwit you, or to amog you.

Same thing applies if you are the wingman and he is the one initiating the approach.. You have to respect that since he started the conversation he is the one that gets to choose which girl he wants and your job is to distract the other ones, and never try to outcompete him or to be more funny or charming than he is.

The code of a wingman:

1) The wingman shall stay committed to the friend, even if she sucks, until it is clear the other dude is sealing the deal

2) The wingman shall never steal his buddy's girl unless it is clear she's not into him and a swap is warranted

3) A wingman shall not sulk, be boring, or shit talk his buddy. He is always having a great time, laughing with his buddy, and talking him up.
