Ever since I was a kid, I've had extreme social anxiety and low esteem. I'm 25 now, and have improved socially to an extent, but I still struggle w/ the issues. If I ever get a criticism or weird look, it's like my whole self worth crashes. I know that weird faces can result from various reasons (person not realizing it, having a bad day, thinking of something completely different in their mind, etc), and so can rejection (not my type, have a gf, legit busy, etc.). Nonetheless, my whole worth shatters no matter how hard I try to talk and convince myself out of it. I really fall into a deep depression for a couple of days to a week or 2, and become I'm too afraid to take risks until I reach a breaking point - and then the cycle repeats again. What can I do to build up my self esteem and combat my social anxiety? It's ruining my life and I need to take action.
