Usually during day game u want to be dominant, confident and assertive.

However. At club setting u kinda want to be the opposite, especially with groups.

I find being overly polite, less confident, and little bit anxious helps.

It lowers their defences especially if u look like lost puppy.

So.

“Hi. Guys. I am sorry to bother you. I was sitting down there with my friends. Saw you. And wanted to say “hi”. I hope u don’t mind.”

Groups can be great, approach and remind yourself that they are in a social environment. Whether they admit it or not, they likely want to make new friends that night. On initial approach provide equal attention, and absolutely do NOT exclude the FF or you will be dealing with goalie all night.

“Heyyy what’s up everybody, vibes seem strong here so I wanted to meet you all.”

Another side note on groups - once you broke ice and are socializing with this new group, other less bold guys will see the m/f ratio imbalance and try to swoop in because you did the hard work already. (Hence, your wingmen need to promptly join group to keep a better keeled ratio)

My suggestion would be to say hi and crash and burn. This thing is a muscle you have to practice doing it. After a while of doing it you will instantly think of things spontaneously
