So I bumped into an acquaintance at a night club. We met a few times randomly last year through a college friend, never spent much time together. But I accidentally went to a bar, and accidentally got a bit drunk and stayed for a while. She and our mutual friend walked in at around 1. She was sober and a little bit closed off. But i kept coming high energy and trying to have fun anyways. I tried to leave at 2ish when she went to get something from her car. But she told me to stay so I did until about 330. Its New York so bars don't really close, but she lives in New Jersey. she literally left for paris the next day but when she got back we chatted on facebook. I joked about my lack of knowledge of speaking french. We talked about hanging out over the weekend but it never happened. just before she signed off she gave me her number. but here is the text convo over the last few days.

me "ceci est mon numer de telephone #########" J "haha good use of google translation" me "oui oui but I used babblefish' J "haha good job :)' me "not to brag but is kinda my job to know the internetz. hows that sun feel?' j "its great drinkin by my friends pool :)'

next day

j "hey what you doing tonight...I miss New Yawk' me "Haha you should! Im not sure yet, im hanging at a rooftop pool now...but ill find us something to do if you come in." j "Oh nice! Im stuck in suburbia without a car but im def thinking of coming in, but not till late" me "ooh suburbia with no car is a total buzz kill. I just heard of a party and also some friends looking to rage in the lower east side' J "im gonna try to take the train in a little. Im supposed to meet my friend kat(i met her once briefly) too...sounds like a fun night' Me "sweet. it should be fun, plus i still owe you a few drinks'

j "Hey im not gonna make it in, i got kidnapped...tommorow?" me "Thats too bad because I am going to get crepes!" J "thats like getting a burger in France' me "haha i dunnoo this is damn delicious' j "haha any rooftop pool parties tommorow in your agenda?" me "You have to get into the city to find out"

next day

me "Did you survive captivity?" j "haha yea i ended up going down the shore, what you do?" me "I ended up at another rooftop party :)" j "I want a rooftop" me "obviously a roof beats the beach" J "rooftop beach?" J "I'm a little drunk right now but im around alllll week we should hang out" me "Roof top beach would be crazy! we should go to the highline park, a rooftop park"

that was saturday night.

so whats next? Do I want to text her and make plans? wait for her to text me? should i include our mutual friend?
