I have been lurking around seddit for a while and learned a lot. I have never had a problem being around girls and making conversation but I rarely close the deal. And last night I could not believe what happened. sorry for the rant.

I met this great girl a few days ago, a friend of a friend. We had a good time and found out we work very near each other. So yesterday I asked her to meet me for lunch and she was very responsive. Unfortunately she got hung up, but since its summer we both got out of work early. So we met and went to a museum for about 3 hours. She went to an art school and I was a math major but we had fun the whole time, laughing and having real discussions. Then we met one of her friends and went for some dinner and drinks. Then the three of us went to her place and had drinks with her roommate. Then we went to a party their friends were at. I was totally up beat and outgoing and made friends with her friends. I was dancing all night and having a blast. she was too and I really liked being with her. And all of a sudden at like 3 am she starts talking to some guy from school. I intervene once at the bar and then go back to dancing. Then I intervene a little later to ask her for a cig. We had been smoking together all night but this time she just gives me one and continues to sit in a booth with the guy. After my cig I go inside and they are dancing, so I intervene a little bit again and the guy ends up leaving, She dances with me and her other friend for a few minutes and then disappears. Now its 4 and the bar is closing so I walk out of the back DJ room and into the bar and she is sitting with the guy again. I tell her Im leaving and get a nice hug and she keeps asking if I had fun and saying she is glad I came out. But then she sits down with the guy and I leave with all of her friends leaving too.

And then I woke up this morning to a text saying "hope you had fun last nite! see you soon"

How the fuck, in one hour, did he reap the benefits after I spent a great 12 hours with her.
