Texting is a lot harder when you don't have a basis to go off of. So texting isn't the problem, attraction is. A girl on tinder is getting messaged by many guys. Your conversation doesn't stand out because you don't stand out. Conversely, if you meet a girl and leave a strong first impression, I can almost guarantee you could use your existing texting game and get much better results.

You can assume a bunch of things and get her to laugh if you are right or she'll talk about herself to clarify. You can include What ifs that get you to talk about yourself if you had her "expertise." Have an even amount of self-deprecating humor as well as high self-esteem. The more you get her to talk about herself the better

When texting I literally say: I'm shit at texting want to meet up and go ... If the girl likes you she will say yes. On tinder just say hi and when she responds, which means she's into you, then say wanna meet at this bar. The ultimate goal of texting is to meet a girl, get past the fear and confront it by asking her to meet In the real world.
