I used to be able to cold approach back at university, when Simple Pickup were at the height of their popularity, although not as much as I would admittedly. I usually just go up to girls who are sitting down by themselves and talk. I only got like three contacts - one flaked and the other I joined my social indoor soccer team. Since I finished studying over two years ago, I hardly approached anyone. The last girl I asked out was two weeks ago via Messanger and she turned me down; I met her at my friend’s birthday party and I realised she was the first girl I was attracted to in MONTHS. The previous girl I made a move on was this girl at a pizza place where I just gave her a note with my number in it.

Anyway, back to the point, I did say I used to cold approach, but I pretty much since I’ve been feeling like it’s weird, I don’t know why. Like I’m sure the girl is just going through her day and all of a sudden this dude comes up to her, tells her she’s cute and wants to take her number. Wouldn’t a girl find that weird and creepy?

I did approach a girl a year ago in the street who turned me down and said to me that me approaching girls the way I did doesn’t work and it really dented my self-esteem. Granted that I was very passive in my approach but it just killed me!

I’ll admit that I’m not the most attractive guy out there, I’m athletic but overweight (think Brazilian Ronaldo today) and I think that if I just lose the weight girls will like me more than I am today.

TL;DR - used to cold approach back in college, now unable to because I feel like it’s weird for the girl.
