For a while now I've been more closed off from people, just doing what I need to do and leave when that's done. In my summer class, I've been pretty much minding my own business since I don't go to school with any of these kids and have been more focused on the class at hand. In the past few weeks as I've become more familiar with my classmates, I've made some small talk here and there, and most recently I've been starting to show my funny side by cracking a joke every once in a while, which is something I haven't done in a really long time. Anyways today this blonde girl who I've seen around time to time sat behind me and I was talking to her a bit about the class and the clinical stuff we've had to do. Getting good vibes from her made me feel like maybe I'm not a total fuck up. Anyways at a break I asked if I could take her vitals for our vitals logs and she said sure. So I'm asking her for the info in the log, name, age, etc. and she was joking about how to put down female obviously and I responded by saying "Oh I couldn't tell otherwise" just kidding around, and she responds "I'm a little offended by that", with a look of disgust on her face. I finished the vitals quietly, and didn't talk to her for the rest of the class.

I just don't fucking get it at all. I know that small teases/joking around is a good thing to do, but apparently I'm not allowed to do it. I was clearly joking around in response to her joking around but hey it's my fault right? I've had a lot of bad experiences with girls in the past couple years (check my submission history) and it seems like no matter what I do everything gets fucked up. Sorry for the rant but I'm so fed up at this point. For the first time in months I actually tried to open up and I get negative feedback.
