Apply one thing at a time. For me, it's eye contact. When you're at work typically people do everything they can to avoid eye contact. Try to make eye contact with everyone on your way to the bathroom or whatever, slightly smile, and say good morning or hey or whatever. Then add the next step, making small talk. And do the same with people on the street. I think this is what's called fragmented learning. Break it down into chunks.

Just go out and actually do it. Even if you fail, then you still learn! And a lot of the stuff you read will make more sense when you see it happening in real time.
