I spent all day today at DTLA taking pictures with my camera. I had a good time and got some awesome shots, but there were tons of opportunities to meet people and I just couldn’t.

Some of it felt awkward, like we would crossed paths in the middle of a crosswalk or on the escalators or something.

The only girl I did end up talking to was on the train ride back, but only because we sat next to each other and she spoke first. She was really cool, got to know each other, made her laugh a lot, turns out she has a boyfriend that she was visiting though.

I’ve only approached twice in my life. The first was in Target which was great but I ejected and got no number, and the second one was kind of embarrassing, I gave a compliment and ran off after seeing her confused stare. I’m having a real tough time breaking through this approach anxiety. Any tips would be appreciated. I think to myself that nothing bad is gonna happen, but the sheer possibility is what frightens me I suppose.

Edit: Oh and if there’s any daygamers in OC, let me know! I’m 22.
