I need help with being more dominant in a conversation

This is an issue for me as well. I'm usually a pretty funny guy but most of my humor is situational/reactionary, not of the storytelling kind or whatever. I can get the laughs, but too often I find myself responding to the situation instead of leading it. Would love some advice.

I read on a different thread to just get in the habit of giving absurd answers when she starts asking questions.. It won't be lying really if they're so absurd that the girl -knows- you're kidding. If you can do it with a straight face that might make it funny in a different way too. I'm not an expert at the strategy, but it might be worth trying!

You don't need to be dominant, or in control of the conversation. You just need to lead it in the right direction, when the opportunity presents itself.

Magic Bullets goes into conversation strategies a lot. It has a few basic ideas. Conversation has to drive the seduction forward, it's not just comfort building conversation, which will land you in the Friend Zone. You're not just telling stories, you're trying to create attraction, so some DHVs are needed, you need to start getting the woman to qualify herself to you, etc.

You also need to know about shit tests and "job interview" questions. How old are you, what's your job, where do you live, those are all job interview questions, chumps get into that job interview, it's idle chatter and she will blow you off as too boring. That's a sort of shit test. You fail by buying into her frame. How old am I? I'm too young for you. Oh burn, you just said she was too old, without saying that.

Ask her the same question without answering or wait to think of something. You are in control of what you say.
