So I moved into a new place recently and this girl is one of my roommates. I was into her before we moved in, but ultimately she said we were friends "for now" and I continue to get mixed signals from her.

The real problem is that she doesn't seem to be a normal girl. Her idea of a boyfriend is one that doesn't give a fuck and one that can go days without talking to (seems like a friend with benefits to me, but she denies this).

If this were any other girl, I'd be set at this point, but she remains elusive and I don't know how to go about getting her now that I know this new information.

She seems to have some sort of trust issue, I think. She's met numerous guys at the bar much to my dismay that ask her out to dinner or something and she blows them off because she doesn't like dates or something.

How the hell do I penetrate them shields? I had always thought I had this in the bag 'til she said she wanted to be friends, but I suspect that sentiment is a result of her insecurities or whatever it is. I'm out of ideas at this point. Help, seddit!
