A while ago, I convinced myself to stop messaging girls. I was really akward and boring by message. No matter how attracted the girl was, she always ended up leaving me on "Read". I was trying to apply common advices like: "Ask questions, keep it fun, try to match her writing style, etc..", but it was not working. I thought texting was not for me, and decided to only focus on face to face.

But then, a friend of mine gave me a really simple advice: "Just send her silly things". I decided to give it a shot. A girl I am not really interested in started to text me. I just messaged her a bunch of nonsenses, sometime even gently mocking her. And it eventually turned out that the conversation was really smooth, I was having fun reading and answering. Because of logistical reasons, I cannot see her right now but I'm pretty sure that I can date her easily if I wanted to.

So for all of you guys reading this post, take this one advice: "Just send her silly things". Don't put pressure on yourself when messaging the girl. If you are pressured about keeping the conversation going, the girl will feel it throughout your messages and will also feel pressured. When receiving a notification on her phone with your name on it, she won't be smiling, she will just be annoyed and will feel obligated to respond to it because she doesn't want to be rude.

My personal tip is that when sending your message, also try to have fun. It is hard to explain why but when you are enjoying the conversation, the other will too.

So to sum up quickly, when you are about to send the message, ask yourself that: Did you enjoyee writing what you are about to send ? If yes, send it. If no, find something else to send or just stop the conversation for now and wait for another opportunity to restart it.
