So i've had way too many opportunities pass me by because I was simply too aloof and naive to realize them, I eventually came to the conclusion that girls are often way more subtle about expressing interest than guys. I'm posting here to get some pointers on what you think constitute indicators of interest

Example - I work in the same store with a rather attractive young lady who is probably about my age. Ever since i've been there (going on 2 months now) i've noticed at times her looking at me out of the corner of my eye, sometimes she got all smiley when I was around her, and a lot of times I would look over at her only to find that our glance was going to lock anyway. She got in to the routine of wishing me goodbye when I left, and I can sort of feel like she is starting to become more comfortable saying things to me or is just shy.

Today my clothes and shit were dirty from work and she said "why are you so dirty?" and my mind raced at lightning speed for something polite yet somewhat flirty to say. Rather than be defensive I just said "i AM dirty" and went about my business. Granted i feel like i suck at flirting sometimes but at the same time, i think if you have confidence it doesnt even matter what you say, it's the way you say it. With girls who are actually intimidating attractive to me, i usually just play it cool and use humor to mask the fact that i am nervous.

The idea is to make conversation and flirt, but never give quite enough attention for her to get a satisfactory encounter because it makes you have some sort of mystery about you, and if she likes you it will just draw her to you more.

Is my methodology fucked or is this legit? What do u think?
