I'm talking about the major life decisions. There's this theory in biology that underneath everything you do, the motivation behind is at to find a mate and repproduce. I hate this type of thinking but I often wonder if there's some truth to it. So that would mean that the reason why (especially as a man) you do get an education or something of the sort and a social circle is because it sets the conditions necessary to find a mate. Looking at my and other people's lives, this seems to be accurate - I know that if I lack a social circle(social connections and if I don't make something out of myself, the chance to be in a fulfilling relationship diminishes to zero.
All my decisions seem to be accompanied by a lot of pondering about which life decision one would benefit me in that regard. I see this at other people, too. At the same time I'm wondering if I just should accept how things are and not beat myself up for screening my life decisions through that lens at least a little bit
The paradox of course is, that if a woman senses that everything you do is because of that, she loses interest in you. But then again, acting as if none of your decisions have anything to do with is just not realistic in my opinion. There seems to be middle ground I haven't discovered yet. If anyone has an idea how to reconcile this, I'd be grateful
I currently have a tough decision to make. I can either
A) Volunteer full time in a field of interest of mine while not being able to save only a little money. Enough money to get by but not a lot of money to spend.
B) Work and save money.
c) start university immediately to keep me from behind even more
I'm in my late twenties and I have no degree. Went through tough times in my twenties. Now I'm pondering about what I should do. Option A) would benefit my mental health a lot and provide me with insight on what I actually want to do in life. But very little money, thus limiting my possibilities and ability to engange in activities. B) would gain me money and increase my possibilities, being able to pay for hobbies. C) Would put me around a lot of people socially and getting me closer to attain a degree, increasing my options to date women.
My gut tells me that A) is the right option. At the same time not having an education in my late twenties makes me inelligible for a lot of women which then again impacts my mental health negatively. I don't know how to decide. My problem is that all the girls I'm attracted to already have degrees and much more life experience than I do so I have the impression that I'm fucked. Women are attracted to guys who are at least on their own level maturity or more. And I'm trying to catch up.
