Is being funny/playful bad?

Its all about yin and yang. Being funny is cool but as long as you begin to get more serious about the following kind of shit:

Hobbies/passions
Childhood/family
Future dreams/Ambitions
Sexuality/Introspective
Struggles/Tragedies

When you can connect deeper on these kind of topics then you will see how your humor is great at opening and diving into these topics, but how being a little more serious will bring it home in the end.

Funny/playful is great - within reason. Seeing life as a fun challenge and not taking things personally and avoiding becoming bitter and resentful is excellent and will hold you in good stead. However, being a constant goofy funny-guy can become irritating. Balance out funny and carefree with serious moments especially when it comes to causes or things you care about.

What’s your natural personality like? There is game for both naturally funny and light people and game for naturally serious people. Play to your strengths. Congruency between words and actions is key.
