1) Simply seducing girls won't give you a bad reputation. It's a skill that lots of guys wish they had. If they're talking shit it's because they're haters that are jealous of you getting laid when they aren't. Ignore them. Guys talking about you being a player are not a threat because it just makes them look like giant pussies. However, if you do treat a girl badly, you can count on her telling everyone. Not everything lasts forever, but when it ends, do it nicely.

Recently, people at parties are seeing a pattern and are calling me a "player" and it is giving me a bad reputation. ...... The people I party with who are saying this are obviously not my friends.

If they're not your friends, then they can fuck off. (And if they were your friends, well, they'd be showing that they aren't really your friends.)

I am considering just quitting seduction and focussing more on school and sport.

First thing to realize here is that seduction is NOT just about sex. It's part of being SOCIAL, in general. Seduction, in the broader sense, is about social skills that help you in more ways than simply getting laid. (Example: Seduction recently got me a hotel room in a resort town, on a holiday weekend when all the hotel rooms were booked up.)

Bottom line: You shouldn't quit seduction just because some people are butthurt.

As much as your reputation isn't something you should take to heart, I realize that, in the practical sense, your reputation is something that will affect your game. Sometimes positively, sometimes negatively. With that in mind......I'd ask which "people" are butt-hurt about this? There are sometimes ways to defuse problems like these. But it depends on the source of this shit talking. Even if you can't defuse it at the source, there are still ways to mitigate/lessen the effect of this.

2) What can I do to tell people this isn't true?

Don't.

In politics if you're explaining, you're losing. Same is true here. You don't have to tell people a damn thing. If they ask you something you can tell them the truth without apology. But you don't need to go on a PR campaign here.

Just doing what you're doing should show the truth for those who wish to actually see it. For those who are intent on seeing bad things, they'll see those things one way or the other.

3) How do I stop negative comments like this affecting me?

Ignore them. Stick and stones, man. Sticks and stones.

4) Is it best to simply stop seducing and partying?

NO. Giving into the demands of (social) "terrorism" is not the best way.

You have to realize that the reputation isn't bad.

If you have a reputation for lying to girls, or otherwise hurting them, then that's bad. But, simply a reputation for being found attractive isn't bad at all. It just arouses jealousy in others.

How do you deal with it?

Step one, ignore it.

Step two, treat women well. Have faith that the truth will out.

You're 17 and doing pretty well socially. Fuck em, "haters gon' hate" as they say.

Also you will be tickled to hear that a lot, and I mean A LOT of women say they don't like players only to wake up next to them all the time. Girls hear about it and want to experience what everyone is talking about. Great for where you are in life. Don't get anyone pregnant

"To be a ‘player’ or a ‘ladies’ man’ is not about sticking out or bringing attention or reputation towards you. A true player always flies under the radar. He is the average guy simply talking to a chick at the bar, or the guy who you hardly took notice of during your night out. A true Player would never call himself a player; he wouldn't like what it represents. Instead he might reply when accused “nah man I’m just having a good time” all the while understanding what you’re on about but not interested in the mentality that comes along with it. A true player would never want to be known as a ‘Player’.
