I guess what i am going to say might not be the kind of things we see very often over here, but it hit me today and I felt the need to share it so I post it anyway.

I think that very often, as men we (at least I put myself in this "we") spend tremendous time chasing and showing interest and love to many women. We sometimes go over our heads to make them laugh, share with them activities, give our attention to what they have to say, and spend our time with them, but we forget to gift theses things to our mother while she is the one (very often) that sacrificed the most for us, and has the purest sentiments toward us. There was a time when we were little kids, she was the most important person to us. We would do so many things to get her affection, we would write her the best crappy poems we can on Mother's Day, and getting her approval would perhaps be the single one objective of everything we would do. But we fail to put ourselves in her feet, and we fail to see that as we grow up and get more and more distant from her, it might be from her perspective as if a girl in which we had invested so much of ourselves gets distant from us also with no reason but "it happens because it happens". While she can't do anything against it, it still hurts I guess. Today, I noticed my mother was sad for a bit of time already, I think it's time for me to not love her just by principle, but to show her I care for her, and give her some of theses things I give to a lot of random chicks and never thought she deserves them too.
